What is a Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OT)?An OT works to prevent, assess, diagnose and treat fine motor coordination, sensory processing, daily living, self-feeding, handwriting, playing, and learning skills in infants, toddlers, preschoolers, school age and adolescents.
What is a Pediatric Feeding Therapist?A pediatric feeding therapist works with children birth through adolescence. Feeding therapy can help your child if he or she eats less than 20 foods, has meltdowns over new foods, refuses to eat certain textures, been diagnosed with a tongue tie, difficulty breast or bottle feeding, difficulty transitioning to puree, excessive drooling, or difficulty chewing or swallowing. We provide feeding therapy for infants, tube fed babies and children, reflux GERD, down syndrome, autism, preemies, complex medical problems, picky eaters, and sensory processing disorders.
